Meet the co-founders of Word^Up
As creatives, we have always believed in the power of stories to inspire, connect and transform. Through our work at Story Oasis, helping writers shape their narratives, we uncovered a greater need: talented storytellers, especially those from the African diaspora were often unseen or underserved by the industry, while producers struggled to find them.
Our Story Labs, Masterclasses and programmes confirmed the existence of a passionate community of content creators and cinephiles who actively consume and create.
We created Word Up to build that community, a centralised platform for storytellers, story lovers and story seekers (the industry). Word Up makes it possible for creators to showcase their work, for companies to discover and hire talent easily and for everyone to collaborate, network and bring powerful stories to life.
