Andrina Moodley

Andrina Moodley is an accomplished creative producer, operational strategist and co-founder of Story Oasis, a South African story development company that merges creativity and storytelling across various networks and partners. Story Oasis has accelerated talent within the various programmes they have run with distinction. With a background in psychology, business and operations her multidisciplinary career spans film, television, advertising, social development and more recently tech innovation , all driven by her belief in storytelling as a catalyst for social and economic transformation. She is alumni of Nelson Mandela University, WITS Business school (graduated top of her class)  and the Ya Based Women in 4IR programme, sponsored by Tshimologong and JP Morgan.

As co-founder of Story Oasis, Andrina Moodley brings together her rich background in psychology, business operations and storytelling across advertising and film mediums. She leads operations for Story Oasis and its training arm, while championing the advancement of women in the creative industry through various initiatives.

Her work combines business insight with narrative craft to drive meaningful change across the creative and innovation landscape. Story Oasis is the parent company to the recently founded NPO Fable Arc, which cultivates spaces where storytelling is explored and developed using emerging technologies and media tools.

Born from a shared passion for the transformative power of storytelling,, Fable Arc harnesses storytelling and technology as a tool for empowerment, education and the preservation of cultural heritage.

A natural pivot for Andrina is to steer the creation of an app made by storytellers for the storytelling community, which allows her to merge her knowledge of the creative and her newfound passion and interest in new media and technology … hence the birth of Word Up.
